The short version: LapLine keeps your riding data on your own devices. There is no LapLine server, no account, and no tracking.
LapLine ("the App"), developed by Gregory Stevenson ("we," "us," or "our"), is a personal motocross lap-timing app for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what LapLine collects and how it is used.
1. What LapLine collects
- Location (GPS). On your Apple Watch and iPhone, LapLine records GPS points while you walk a track and while you ride a moto, so it can map the track and compute your lap times, speeds, and lap-to-lap comparisons.
- Workout / HealthKit. On your Apple Watch, LapLine starts a workout session while you record, so that GPS keeps running and your ride can count toward your activity and exercise rings.
2. How your data is used and stored
- Your recordings are stored locally on your devices. LapLine does not upload your location or health data to any server.
- LapLine does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, and does not use it for advertising or marketing.
- LapLine contains no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
3. HealthKit
LapLine uses HealthKit only to run a workout session during recording. Health data accessed through HealthKit is used solely to provide the App's timing feature and is never used for advertising, marketing, or data-mining, and is never shared with or sold to third parties.
4. Deleting your data
Deleting the LapLine app removes its stored recordings from your device. Any workouts saved to Apple Health can be managed or removed in the Apple Health app.
5. Children's privacy
LapLine is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
